7th Golden Gate Canyon Trail 1/2-Marathon 12.7mi
One of the best trails in the state, this course will stimulate your body and your senses. A challenging 12.7mi, with 2,500' of climbing, between 8,400' - 9,500', on everything from steep and rocky, to smooth and fast. Run through alpine meadows, and golden aspen and pine forests, with gorgeous views of the continental divide. Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Gilpin County, 15mi W of Golden.
10/30/10
Bear Creek 10-Spot 10.5mi
Just becaue it's almost winter, doesn't mean there aren't great trails to race on. Two loops, mostly on single and double track, with a series of short (30 sec - 3 min), sometimes steep, climbs and descents, and maybe a water crossing or two.
Bear Creek Lake Park, Morrison

Volunteers
I'm always interested in more race volunteers. If you can't race, come out and help and enjoy the scenery. Volunteer time should count for those of you needing certain hours to qualify for some ultras. Also, if you know of any youth (or other local community groups) that would like to make some money, I will make a donation in exchange for help at the races. Contact Adam for more info.

Course Measurement and Markings: All courses will be accurately measured using the same USATF method used to certify road courses (where possible). This is more accurate than GPS, MapMyRun, GoogleEarth, or other similar mapping programs. There will be accurate mile markers.

All courses will be extremely well marked. You will not get lost - guaranteed (entry fee will be refunded not including online fees).

Rules:
  • No littering. Drop cups, gel/bar wrappers at or near aid staions, or carry them to the finish.
  • Headphones: Stongly discouraged. Enjoy the sounds of nature. If you insist on wearing headphones, you must leave one ear free, and you must keep the music low - low enough to be able to hear directions from course officials talking in a normal voice, and to be able to hear other runners around you.
  • No pacers by bike or non-registered runners.
  • No pets.

When in doubt, run uphill! ©
